BACKCOUNTRY, FLATS & SIGHT FISHING
(YEAR-ROUND)
Light tackle, inshore, flats, backcountry, and beach fishing at its finest.
Whether you are after roving pods of rolling Tarpon, Snook on ledges, shoals and under mangroves, tailing Reds on the flats, or trophy Sea Trout, this is the trip for you.
World Famous Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island Sound, and the waters surrounding Gasparilla, Palm, Captiva, and Sanibel Islands are the haunts for these much sought after game fish. Many people know this region for its huge Spring migration of Tarpon in Boca Grande Pass, but this area is home to some of the best year-round inshore and shallow water action to be found anywhere. A combination of live and artificial baits is sure to produce everything from drag scorching runs to heart-stopping topwater action. Great for everyone from the seasoned tournament angler to the first time fisherman, and even the whole family. Peace, serenity, and the finest light tackle action available all can be found in the pristine waters of Southwest Florida.

TACKLE AND TECHNIQUES:
Light Tackle, Live and Artificial Bait
Because we encounter so many different species during an inshore, backcountry, or sight fishing trip, the boat will be fully equipped with spinning and conventional tackle from 6lb - 50lb (mono and braid). You will arrive at your charter and find all livewells fully stocked with frisky live baits ranging from Whitebait, Threadfins, crabs, shrimp, Pinfish, Mullet and Ladyfish as well as a wide array of the most productive artificial baits. These trips can offer excellent fly fishing action, however we do not currently supply any fly tackle. Captain Tom would be more than happy to advise you prior to your trip in regards to the most effective patterns, line, and rod weights.
