RESERVATIONS & POLICIES

HOW TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATION

There are many factors affecting the outcome of your trip including the time of year, weather, tide, your target species, etc. To ensure the highest level of success on your trip, we suggest that you contact us by phone or e-mail with your desired dates and times, as well as what you would like to do on your trip. This allows us to work together to schedule your visit for a time that is convenient for you, and a time which will produce the best results. Additionally, please be sure to read over all of the policies below prior to booking your charter. Booking your charter with Another Keeper Charters means you accept the terms and conditions outlined on this page.

PICK UP LOCATIONS

Captain Tom McLaughlin and Another Keeper Charters operate out of Cape Haze Marina in Englewood/Cape Haze, Florida. However, during Tarpon Season, most pick-ups will take place at the Guide Docks on Boca Grande. While we try to accommodate most pick-ups for no extra fee, there are circumstances where we will be required to charge a PICK-UP surcharge (for example, Captiva Island is $75.00). Please discuss these charges with the Captain when you schedule your trip.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

A deposit amount of $200 per trip is required at the time of your reservation for Inshore and Nearshore fishing trips. This amount will be deducted from the total balance due. We are unable to hold days unless a deposit has been received. Payment is accepted by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The balance is due upon returning to the dock at the end of your trip.

Your deposit is refundable in full up to 45 days prior to your reserved date. Cancellations less than 14 days and no-shows will be charged for the full price of their scheduled trip to the credit card used for deposit. If your scheduled date is able to be rebooked, we will refund the entire amount paid. If extenuating circumstances arise, please contact us and we will try our best to reschedule your trip for a time that will be both convenient and productive.

ANGLER/CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Please,

1. Respect your Captain and the boat. If, at any time, a customer's behavior is disrespectful, inappropriate, or dangerous to themselves or others, your Captain has the right to immediately terminate the charter and return to the closest commercial dock. No discounts will be given and full payment for the charter will be due immediately.

2. Be on time for pickup.

3. Wear non-marking shoes.

4. Avoid bringing all spray sunscreens and opt for a more fish and boat friendly rub-on instead.

5. Bring a camera. Although the Captain does often take photos on charters, it is each angler's responsibility to supply their own camera for photography. Check the Captain's Blog for recent photos from trips.

5. Enjoy yourself!

TACKLE

Another Keeper Charters does everything possible to provide our customers with the highest quality rods, reels and tackle possible. In return, we ask you please respect these tools and treat them with the care and respect they deserve. If for some reason, there is damage or loss due to gross negligence by the angler, you will be responsible for the full replacement cost.

ALCOHOL

Beer and wine are welcome in moderation. No hard alcohol will be permitted on the boat. Please do not arrive for your charter intoxicated--your charter will be cancelled and full payment will be due immediately. The safety of yourself and others is our top priority, so please be smart and limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while on your charter--remember sun and exercise increases the effects of alcohol in your system.

WEATHER

Your enjoyment, fishing success, and safety depend on your Captain's accurate analysis of the weather. Your Captain will have the final say in trip cancellation due to weather. We do not cancel trips due to rain, however we will try to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. There are certain weather events that will significantly decrease the quality of fishing. Should the Captain make the determination that these events have, or are likely to take place, he will contact you about the situation and give you options regarding possible rescheduling or changes in tactics and target species.

MECHANICALS

Occasionally there are unforeseen mechanical situations which prevent Captain Tom from operating a charter. Although this is very rare, it does happen. If we are forced to cancel your charter because of this, we will make every attempt to reschedule your charter at your next most convenient time, or, find another guide available for your originally scheduled time/date. Of course, if we are not able to get you out on the water, your deposit will be refunded in full within 7 days.
